How to create and edit a group in facebook

Hello everybody

we hope you are all doing great and enjoy spending time with us ;)

As facebook is a social network , sometimes we need to share our interests with others

sometimes we need to discuss with others about certain topics such as sports , fashion, health ..etc


that's what you can do by creating a group on facebook , where you can add people having the same interest and passion about something

and today we are about to learn how to easily create , edit and add friends to a group

just follow these simple steps :


1- Go to your facebook home page

2- In the left panel and just under the section " groups " , choose create group

3-

•  In the group name type the name of your group 
•  in the members box , just type the name of friends that you want to add to the group 
• if you want to add this group to your favorites just check the box in front of it
• Choose the privacy of your group :
  
  1- Public : where anyone can see the group , it's members and thier posts
  
  2- Closed : where anyone can find the groups and see who is in it but only the group's members can see the posts
  
  3- Secret : where only the group's members can find the group and see the posts 

4- Chosse the icon you want for your group and then click ok

( you can skip this step by clicking skip at the bottom left of the message )

5- Congratulations , you know have created you own group

6- you can now edit your group :

• you can change your group cover by clicking upload photo or choose photo to choose from your old photos on facebook
• you can add a description to tell the members about the group and it's purpose and interest
• you can add members to the group from "Add people to the group" box at the right or invite them by email

History and Growth of Facebook

Facebook began in February of 2004 as a school-based social network at Harvard University. It was created by Mark Zuckerberg along with Edward Saverin, both students at the college.

One of the reasons credited for the rapid growth and popularity of Facebook was its exclusivity. Originally, to join Facebook you had to have an email address at one of the schools in the network.
